Times are calculated for Karachi, Pakistan (default — set your location). Calculated timetables can differ by a few minutes from your local mosque, which may follow its own confirmed schedule — when in doubt, follow your mosque.
How it is calculated — and its limits
The next prayer is the earliest of today's five obligatory prayers that has not yet passed for your selected location, method and Asr school; after Isha, it is tomorrow's Fajr.
Sunrise is shown in the table because it marks the end of Fajr time, but it is not itself one of the five prayers, so the countdown never targets it.
How to use it
- Set your location (it is shared with the other tools).
- Check the method and Asr settings match what you follow.
- Leave the page open — the countdown keeps itself current.

Frequently asked questions
Does the countdown update automatically?
Yes — it ticks every second, and when a prayer time arrives it rolls over to the following prayer. After Isha it counts down to tomorrow's Fajr.
Why does it say the next prayer is Fajr after Isha?
Because Fajr is the next of the five daily prayers once Isha has passed. The countdown targets tomorrow's Fajr time.
Can I keep this open like a clock?
Yes. The page is light and updates in place. Leave it open on a phone or a spare screen and it will keep counting through the day.
